Description

The Favelle Favco M440D is a 55.1-ton rated capacity luffing boom tower crane, designed for heavy lifting applications. It is a freestanding crane with a maximum working radius of 195 feet (approximately 59.4 meters), though only 150 feet (45.7 meters) of boom is supplied with the purchase. The crane has a minimum jib length of 32 meters and a maximum luffing jib length of 68.8 meters. Its lifting capacity is rated at 50 metric tons (110,231 lbs) at a radius of 10 meters, decreasing to 2.7 metric tons (5,952 lbs) at its maximum radius of 65 meters.

The crane features a split machinery deck to reduce weight and eliminate the need for street cranes during erection and dismantling. It is powered by a Caterpillar C15 Tier 4 standard diesel engine, which can be converted to electric power. The main hoist has a capacity of 55,000 lbs (25 tons) at 20 meters and 12,320 lbs (5.6 tons) at 58.6 meters. The auxiliary winch provides a 10-ton (22,000 lbs) capacity at 102 meters per minute.

The crane includes 25 standard tower sections and 5 reinforced tower sections, along with 5 collars and an external climbing frame, all included in the purchase. It is located in South Plainfield, New Jersey, United States. The crane is available for sale, with pricing available upon discussion, and all taxes are the buyer’s responsibility. The model is part of the M Series of Favelle Favco diesel hydraulic luffing cranes.
